The main reason Ghanaians ask for money is that their pay is too low. The minimum pay is GHC 300-400 ($75-$85) per month. On the flip side, Ghanaians are replete with MANY goods and sumptuous services, too high to ignore. So one will say, it’s been pretty successful for this country as a whole and in general, peaceful, Thank Neptune. ✌️
The management style of each two major Party -candidate, determines the success rate of the country at a time. Both two majority parties, NDC and NPP strive to develop Ghana but somehow end up impoverishing a large part of its people. Ghanaians are mostly treated by their government with little respect and without much rights. The country is run chaotically and mostly deeply lawless, if peaceful at all.
In Ghana, you better pray that the lack of cash never catches you. It’s like a dreaded disease that falls upon your chest and chokes you slowly, with deep sorrows and despair. A lot of Ghanaians are afraid of poverty – it’s pervasive in their healthcare, auto insurance, and car purchases.
Deep poverty prevails in Ghana as a whole and its a grave concern of those who live within the country ….

Car loans are virtually non-existent …. for example, my car which is ‘reconstructed’ in Ghanaians’ term, becomes crippled due to the fact that heavy-industry mechanics do not have enough capital to fix cars themselves for customers to pay them. They always need cash first before they work on a car, causing delays and walkathons.
During Ghana’s coronavirus lockdown, I was expecting the Akufo-Addo’s administration to give out relief money to those affected. It never came. If you are doing something for your own people, it’s not the Bible that you put on your chest, in earnestness, in that particular moment, in time that matters but what you do afterward.
